Denver-based BKV Corporation, a natural gas exploration and production company, has appointed Dilanka Seimon as its first chief commercial officer. In this role, Seimon will lead the company’s commercial midstream, gas marketing and new products teams.

According to a news release, Seimon has over 20 years of global energy experience spanning the upstream and midstream sectors. He has held leadership positions at EnLink Midstream, Energy Transfer and BHP, and Seimon brings a background in natural gas trading, marketing and origination.

“[Seimon’s] extensive background in advancing markets for gas, power and carbon, combined with his strategic vision, will be critical as we aim to strengthen BKV’s position in the upstream, midstream, carbon capture and growing power market with a focus on driving long-term value,” Chris Kalnin, CEO of BKV, said in a statement.
