BGIS is looking for an Assistant Business Office Manager to join the team in Remote, US.

The Assistant Business Office Manager creates and manages high performance support services teams to drive cross functional efficiency and meet administrative business obligations. The Assistant Business Office Manager leads others positively exemplifying BGIS values.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
People Management
- Develop and train team members.
- Define performance expectations and provide performance feedback.
- Recommend professional training and support team member career planning.
- Communicate company goals, policies, plans and priorities both formally and informally.
- Collaborate with team to define and communicate priorities.
- Partner with managers to define and communicate direct report priorities.
- Mentor and provide assistance to members of the support services team nationally.
- Communicate with team to share information and best practices.
- Evaluate and evolve specialist competencies.
- Reach out to connect team members across departments and regions.
- Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned.

Cross Functional Relationships and Client Satisfaction
- Optimize development, design and delivery of projects along with client and office needs.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal partners.
- Participate in cross functional committees and teams.
- Identify and promote cross functional operational synergies.
- Lead alignment with the overall BGIS annual strategy and goals.
- Gather client insight to drive process improvements.
Continuous Improvement Project Management
- Promote opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processes and structures.
- Execute and align work in accordance to processes and guidelines.
- Implement and measure process improvements.
- Act as a liaison between diverse geographic and groups to bring about change.
- Lead in alignment with regional managers to execute financial stewardship.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, management or related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of four years experience performing job duties in a similar role.
- Five years managerial experience or shared services responsibilities in the construction industry.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to create common goals and motivate a team.
- Time Management skills to prioritize, delegate and meet specific timelines.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Advanced SharePoint knowledge.
- LEED professional designation a plus.

- Current valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation for meetings and job visits away from the office with reimbursement.

A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
The salary range for this position in the US is $83k-$97k.
