About the Role

Come join our small but growing brand team at Rocket Lawyer, and work cross functionally with Marketing, Product and People Ops teams to make law accessible and affordable for everyone. Our passionate design team is hands-on and values collaboration, sharing ideas, and championing user-centered experiences across the organization. As part of the brand team, you work with many departments to not only elevate our identity but help to maintain a consistent company voice, look and experience, internally and externally.

The ideal candidate has experience as a visual designer and is passionate about brand and communication design. They possess a keen eye for details and aesthetics but can also communicate the “why” of their decisions. This designer is able to advocate for design and design consistency across all functions of the company and is highly skilled at creating web landing pages, social ads, emails, presentation decks, and ideally has experience in video. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to ideate creative approaches to business goals and execute designs across various channels, maintaining a holistic view of your designs’ impact and reach. 
• Design landing pages, social ads, emails, presentation decks, within the styles defined in our evolving brand identity and take part in helping define where that goes next.
• Manage projects independently for other marketing partners to create branded content and assets as part of new campaigns.
• Help create and maintain, design systems, guidelines and assets
• Deliver detailed, pixel perfect assets and specs to developers, and ensure the final experience is as designed

Qualifications

• “Initiative” is your middle name, you’re not afraid to ask questions, bring new ideas to the table, and get stuff done
• Strong aptitude for working in teams and collaboration with a “can-do” attitude.
• Experience designing for responsive web and native mobile applications
• Excellent verbal communication skills in expressing design decisions to your team members
• Approach problem solving with a positive attitude and eagerness to collaborate with your Teammates
• Strategic thinking in branding, marketing, web and graphic design
• Strong portfolio demonstrating high-caliber visual, branding, and interaction design skills
• Mastery of the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, GoogleSuite or whatever tools you prefer to get the job done.
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Minimum 1-3 years experience in Marketing & Branding design

Preferred Qualifications / Personal Characteristics

• Experience designing for consumer web and mobile products
• Experience working with a brand team in-house, yet not required
• Experience in video editing, animation and podcast production.
• Strong Photoshop and Illustration skills
• Detail oriented, driven and self-motivated
