Business Technology Architect

About the Role

The Business Technology  Solutions Architect is a hands-on role, responsible for the solution design and delivery of our entire portfolio which currently comprises  Finance & Accounting, FP&A, Security, Compliance and People Applications

As Chime’s first Solutions Architect, you lead the way to secure the alignment of business needs with technology capabilities. You understand the current state by the build of Capability heat maps & set the foundation for a robust enterprise architecture model as we grow & scale. 

While the initial focus will be on NetSuite ERP & its boundary applications, You will help design and implement next generation technologies & processes, where you’ll focus on understanding the unique and diverse groups, and their current pain points and requirements to design frictionless & scalable technology solutions

For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $118,500 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to 

• Understand , explain & document the “How” by utilizing architecture frameworks, methods & diagrams.
• Architect and/or Customize existing solutions of project or operational scope.
• Inculcate & build an architecture mindset and vision by relentlessly balancing speed & agility with technical debt 
• Lead the Architecture Review Board to validate/evaluate if an information systems or operational architecture meets technical requirements and specifications
• Participate in defining Chime’s processes, standards, and policies to adopt best-in-class practices
• Work with our key 3rd party vendors to understand their tech roadmaps to help guide Chime to take advantage of them
•  Collaborate to manage the portfolio and support the creation & maintenance of prioritization backlog
• Be an effective conduit between IT & Business by articulating technical or operational problems or issues into understandable business terms.

To thrive in this role, you have

• 5+ years of experience in IT Business Systems Architecture with a focus on Finance and People Applications 
• Have a thorough understanding of Enterprise Architecture across all cycles -Hire to Retire, Procure to Pay, Record to Report and Strategic Finance 
• Applied advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.
• Solid experience around building an architecture vertical from the ground up focused on best practices 
• Been introduced to key data foundation concepts  
• Managed engagement quality, risk, timelines, and resources during key program implementations
• Prior experience scaling the systems portfolio to support the hyper growth
• A hands-on leadership style, with a scrappy start-up mentality
• Passionate about Financial and People  Systems
