We’re looking for a seasoned Chief of Staff to help us with execution across our Engineering, Product and Design organization. In this role, you’ll work closely with Engineering, Product and Design leadership to drive our roadmap planning process, spot and resolve dependencies and improve our product delivery capabilities. You’ll help us transform our organization into a thriving constellation of fast-moving teams that are aligned in purpose.  You’ll help set and communicate priorities that are deeply informed by both business needs and the practical realities of our execution landscape. This is a key role that is critical to helping Tally take our company to the next level.

Role Impact & Expectations:

  • Drive our strategic planning process, working closely with engineering, product, design and other business leaders to set ambitious, but viable targets and roadmaps.
  • Propose, implement and continually make improvements to our coordination and delivery processes
  • Serve as the reliable source for project tracking across our major initiatives, reporting on overall status and helping teams surface risks and mitigations
  • Own our project management tool chain and the standards for their usage and configuration
  • Coordinate the socialization and communication of major changes in strategy and organization
  • Serve as a strategic liaison to key stakeholders to understand their needs and operational concerns, integrating these perspectives into our project planning and prioritization.
  • Facilitate decision making. Help our leaders hold productive discussions engaging different perspectives to identify key points and tradeoffs.  
  • Dive in as needed to problem solve and remove operational blocks for our top priority projects. 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a program management role, working with cross-functional teams to deliver consumer or fintech features in a technology company setting
  • Exceptional planning, communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Proven ability to operate effectively and autonomously across multiple teams in situations of ambiguity
  • Track record of driving software programs and/or process change across mid to large sized organizations (75+ humans)
  • Experience with JIRA and the Atlassian suite of tools is a plus.
  • Experience with Scrum, Kanban, or scaled Agile principles and practices is a plus.
