Varo’s Risk Management Team team is committed to building a new world of banking for our customers in a sustainable and compliant way. Within Risk, the Compliance Department focuses on end-to-end review of products and services through our Compliance Management Program--which follows the requirements of the OCC’s Compliance Management System handbook. We help our business partners grow and succeed by providing the right services in a timely manner. We are committed to continuous improvement and working proactively with our partners in the business to deliver compliance solutions that are consumable and relevant-especially when it comes to compliance training.
We are seeking a Compliance Training Instructional Designer who has a growth mindset, is a self-starter, enjoys a fast-paced working environment, and enjoys working creatively.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform a compliance training needs assessment.
- Establish a compliance training curriculum that meets the needs of each position in the bank.
- Deploy course work through the bank’s LMS, Bridge.
- Integrate vendor content, as appropriate into the curriculum, or develop custom content. Work with Compliance SMEs and business units to develop relevant content. Occasionally hold instructor-led webinars.
- Schedule outside speakers, as needed, for webinar-style training.
- Work with our Corporate Training Department to integrate the compliance curriculum into the overall learning plan for the bank.
- Track and report on training completion and milestones.
You’ll bring the following required skills and experiences
- Excellent writing and instructional design skills.
- 5-7 years experience in developing and deploying online coursework.
- Experience working with a learning management system to deploy online coursework.
- Banking/regulatory compliance background preferred.
