As our Dev Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for all aspects of our global web infrastructure and ensure that they are reliable, secure, efficient, and flexible. As an employee for an innovation company, you will be expected to stay abreast of new and relevant technologies as well as present your point of view to senior management using roadmaps and business cases.
This role reports to a Software Engineering Manager, works closely with senior developers, test automation engineers, and engineering managers. You will also engage with architects, security, and compliance experts from our Fortune 500 enterprise clients to understand their security, reliability, and compliance needs.
You Will:
- Assist with the implementation of the infrastructure technology roadmap.
- Execute infrastructure improvement projects.
- Manage our AWS based infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of availability, security, and performance on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure uptime by debugging performance and outage issues, as needed.
- Develop continuous integration processes and tools in partnership with other senior engineers.
- Automate network and application configuration and routine tasks.
- Track and report KPIs to management periodically and in real time.
You Have:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE Role; 5+ years experience in Software Engineering.
- Expertise in AWS and Enterprise Cloud Configuration.
- Knowledge of network infrastructure for internet and web based applications configuration.
- Linux systems administration experience, including automation using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Experience supporting SOC II audits.
- Background in applying systems security standards into DevOps practice.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (IaC) such as Terraform or Cloudformation.
- Knowledge of tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Vagrant.
- Strong understanding of scripting languages such as bash, sed/awk, python, javascript, and ruby.
- Implemented and maintained high availability and disaster recovery hosting infrastructures for 24x7x365 apps.
- Experience supporting and optimizing PostgreSQL or compatible DBMS for performance and availability.
- Implemented and maintained continuous integration environments.
- Experience hardening a production security infrastructure, including supporting pen testing.
- Very strong problem-solving and debugging skills from infrastructure to application code.
- Extensive background in web application technologies such HTTP, REST APIs and JSON.
- High attention to detail.
