Job Description:
Helix is hiring an Associate Director/ Director of Health System BD & Strategic Partnership (West Coast Region) to expand our population genomics business within regional health system leaders located on the West Coast. You will work closely with the senior members of Helix’s Health System BD & Strategic Partnerships Team to drive new business by driving leads, organizing and facilitating meetings with potential partners and close deals.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain a prioritized target list across the Western Region of the US.
- Generate and qualify new leads through proactive outreach efforts, along with managing inbound leads from existing channels
- Introduce, cultivate and build relationships with key decision-makers and KOLs across the target list of Western Region health systems.
- Systematically build support for a strategic partnership within each health system, ensuring the successful deployment of their population genomics program.
- Identify, negotiate and close complex, multi-million-dollar deals
- Work with CRM and other analytics tools for lead management, pipeline tracking, reporting, etc.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise healthcare sales driving the sales process from lead generation, qualifying, engaging, contracting, and deal closing or existing experience working with health system leadership on consultative engagements.
- Existing network with health systems, life sciences companies, payers, and other healthcare executives is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting in front of a wide range of client types
- Background in healthcare and life sciences is essential, familiarity with precision medicine opportunities around testing and data is a plus. Able to quickly learn relevant scientific and clinical topics and be able to credibly represent Helix with customers
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills that help to build strong relationships with clinical and business partners at all levels
- Ability to travel (up to 50%)
- BA/BS required; MBA, PhD or other advanced degree optional. Scientific/ technical degree preferred
An ideal candidate will have:
- Experience using Salesforce
- Experience in genomics, genomics technology, and/or population health.
- Experience discussing strategic programs with C-suite executives at health systems
- Experience calling on the C-suite of health systems and IDNs nationally.
