Join the Quality Engineering team at Fandom and work with great people (fans! Star Wars, Twin Peaks, RPG games, you name it!). As a member of the Quality Engineering team, you will manage the team who ensure our features and projects are of the highest quality and create the best experience for our users. You will participate in planning and technical execution of team goals and communication of technical project status with all important partners through sprint retro's and company demos.
You and your team will research and manage CI/CD and test automation infrastructure to empower your Quality Engineers and the software development teams to deliver product features as quickly as possible.
You and your team will guide the Incident Management and Escalation process within Engineering and be a partner in setting quality standards.
About Team:
The team creates new features that aim to boost the engagement of our users. The team does many A/B tests to make sure that our features are genuinely engaging, and the goal is to create personalised experiences that improve user's experience on the site. We focus on frontend work and work with a backend team that analyses user's behaviours. Our Tech Stack is focused around TypeScript/JavaScript and React, but we use several modern technologies, depending on the needs.
You Will...
- Plan testing and creating the test cases (manual and automated) for our stack in different platforms: web pages and mobile apps
- Work on testing plans for Fandom products
- Execute test cases and diagnose results
- Identify, tracking and communicating defects and risks
- Identify problems with code and processes, delivering problem resolution and improvements to make sure your team delivers high-quality products
- Give feedback to your peers, sharing knowledge with others, providing mentorship and advice to other Quality Engineers
- Automate integration and acceptance tests using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins
- Close integration with developers and product managers in different locations
We are looking for people who have…
- At least two years software testing experience with web-based products
- Minimum of three years of web testing automation experience
- Experience with both functional and non-functional testing
- Excellent understanding of QA process in Agile environment
- Good with identifying issues early in the development process
- Can pick up new technologies and domain specific knowledge quickly
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Selenium or Webdriver.io
- Experience with web environment (HTTP protocol, cookies, AJAX)
- Good software development skills for automation e.g. Java/Python or other object oriented language
- knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Good English level
- Experience working with CI/CD systems like Jenkins
- Experience with monitoring systems
