We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join and lead our SRE team, focusing on Delivery and partnering with our EPD teams to deliver features and capabilities. Our SRE teams are growing, and we are looking for someone to build and lead our efforts to improve and own services to provide a best-in-class experience for our customers and as owners.

As part of Engineering Operations, you will own critical services and initiatives, including migrating applications to Kubernetes. After we’ve finished the migration, the mission of this SRE team is to partner with our internal teams to grow and support Tally at scale. The SRE team develops and owns critical capabilities that enable Engineering teams to deliver software reliably, repeatedly, and with availability. A core part of the SRE team is to partner with Tally Engineering and Data to help everyone use the infrastructure.

Things You'll Do:

  • Coordinate closely with Engineering to deliver capabilities that have a high impact on our engineering teams.
  • Hire, mentor, and develop engineering team members.
  • Work cross-functionally with existing SRE and Security Engineering teams.
  • Achieve Service Level Objectives for team-owned services.
  • Develop highly effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Dive deep into the infrastructure and toolsets to identify opportunities and strategies that make these easy to use. Our stack includes AWS, Kubernetes, EC2/RDS/etc, Scala, Bazel, Datadog, and Honeycomb.
  • Elevate our Site Reliability Engineering practices as a thought leader.
