ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are searching for a reliable and well rounded Field Engineer with experience working remotely via email and Zoom as well as on-site carrying out diagnosis, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. The Field Engineer’s primary duties will include equipment installation, training, service, as well as support via email, Zoom and on-site. Your technical expertise will assist our organization in increasing client satisfaction, improving efficiency, managing risk, diagnosing problems, and complying with laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent personal skills, technical skills, be a good communicator, and pay meticulous attention to detail. The exceptional field engineer should be able to quickly diagnose and resolve problems, improve efficiency, mitigate risk, encourage business growth, as well as enhance and sustain relationships with our clients. 

AS THE PAX LABS FIELD ENGINEER, YOU WILL:

  • Routine equipment maintenance including electromechanical systems such as dispensing pumps, laser etchers, linear motors, etc 
  • Site visits throughout the United States and Canada 
  • Equipment installation and training 
  • Equipment manufacturing at headquarters
  • Equipment troubleshooting (remote and on-site)
  • Scheduling virtual and in person support 
  • Influencing and approving future equipment designs
  • Ensuring on-site compliance of PAX equipment and operation 
  • Drafting and submitting reports including site visit reports, troubleshooting reports, etc. 
  • Analyzing and reporting data to cross functional teams 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with coworkers and clients 
  • Providing excellent customer support and relationship management

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
  • Willing to work out of the San Francisco headquarters 
  • Have a valid Driver’s Licence and Passport 
  • Willing to come into the office during the Pandemic
  • Vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated prior to employment
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment
  • Analytical mind with strong problem solving ability and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with other departments including engineering, commercial, and global supply 
  • Self starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds including tools, replacement parts, consumables etc.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Cannabis industry experience
  • Experience with PLC programming (Beckhoff preferred) 
  • Experience with fluid dispensing hardware 
  • Experience with laser etching hardware 
  • Experience with bug scrubs in software development
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
