HOVER is looking for an innovative finance leader who will lead our finance team responsible for all planning processes, capital deployment analysis and driving strategic decisions through business insights.  

This role reports to the CFO and is part of a broader G&A team with strong guiding principles:  INTEGRITY, INFLUENCE and INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT.

You will contribute by: 

You will lead the company's quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including 3 year strategic planning.  You will prepare company financial reports and projections and will take full ownership of the company financial model and projections with inputs from your team.  You will improve our business insight by developing an improved financial reporting process that spans beyond financial statements, but rather acts as a financial dashboard for company execution against our goals.  You will build strong business partner relationships across every segment of the business and develop company-level financial KPIs to drive cross functional alignment and accountability.  

You will lead the team to translate business strategies into positive financial outcomes.  You will champion operational efficiencies throughout the business and will develop investor pitch decks and board of directors materials to demonstrate company progress.  

You will develop an effective, deeply motivated, collaborative and influential team. You will build out the remainder of the FP&A team and will focus on continuous development and growth of the capabilities and performance of team members.  

You will own all aspects of investor reporting and will manage key aspects of the fundraising process. You will implement appropriate processes, systems and frameworks to empower the team to demonstrate strong financial stewardship with high efficiency.

Your background includes:  

• 7+ years of experience leading a finance function
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or business
• Start-up experience is a must, preferably at a late stage high growth company
• Ability to translate complex business operating models into financial performance
• Track record of close partnership with C-suite/senior level executives, influencing the business
• Outstanding communication and partnership skills
• Proficient with key financial analysis metrics such as LTV/CAC, cohort analysis, non-GAAP metrics, etc.
• Extensive financial modeling experience
