About the role
We’re looking for a Product Leader to join the Credit Builder team. You will be responsible for managing a group of talented human beings and leading the end to end product strategy for the core experience of building credit scores -- one of the top reasons our members join Chime. The mission of this team is to build products for all Americans that allow them to safely use credit to build and maintain great credit scores and unlock their future goals. We are looking for a curious and passionate product leader who will help hire and develop a team of Product Managers, guide them to deliver exceptionally simple experiences that help Chime members build and understand their credit scores, and lead a team of cross-functional leaders to uncover and deliver the future of this product!
In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $149,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Define the strategy and vision for Credit Scores @ Chime
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, user research, product analytics, and marketing to ensure a smooth product development process.
- Recruit new product managers and actively participate in the hiring process.
- Cultivate a healthy product development process that fosters development of your team and consistently delivers high quality member experiences
- Directly own a key metric & vertical of the credit program
- Represent & communicate your team's impact to senior management and executives
- Work with each PM on career development and personal growth, ensuring that Chime isn’t just a job at a rapidly growing company, but a pivotal professional growth moment in each team member’s career
To thrive in this role, you have
- Deep curiosity. You enjoy going deep into the data, asking more “whys” in the qual, and you strive for better understanding of what it means to meet users where they are
- Prior experience growing and managing product managers to be high impact leaders
- Experience with working in highly ambiguous problem spaces
- Experience translating complex, confusing, frustrating concepts and systems into simple, elegant, understandable experiences
- A relentless desire to make finance work for our user’s benefit
