The Impact You’ll Make

As Lead, Technical Recruiting at Nextdoor, you’ll partner with our executives to design and operationalize the global growth strategies for our technical teams. This includes defining and developing recruiting programs and processes, and most importantly focuses on enablement of hiring leaders and an outstanding recruiting team. We believe that to effectively scale TA, everyone involved in hiring must have the context, tools, skills, and authority to make the best decisions possible on behalf of the business and candidates. Your role as advisor and leader is the key element in fostering an environment that helps grow a world-class organization.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Earn trust every day. Cultivate a culture of integrity, candor, and respect in all things recruiting-related for recruiters, hiring teams, and candidates. Promote increased visibility and understanding of recruiting performance, strengths, and opportunities through clear, consistent reporting and story-sharing  
  • Invest in community. Coach and develop recruiters and hiring managers. Evangelize diversity, inclusion, and belonging as core tenets of Nextdoor and our recruiting practices. Establish healthy, mutually beneficial relationships with cross functional partners 
  • Experiment and learn quickly. Leverage data-driven insights and qualitative feedback to craft and iterate on approach to hiring. Creatively explore new approaches to solving recruiting challenges and measure their effectiveness
  • Customer obsessed. Make things simple, easy, and fun, for everyone who engages in hiring. Team building should be informative, exciting, and rewarding
  • Act like an owner. Do what’s necessary. Some days that’s big-picture strategic, other days that might be helping to source. “That’s not my job” isn’t a phrase in your repertoire. You are a role model for those around you
  • Think big. Help us build an exceptional global company. Guide your team members on their paths as the next company level leaders. Establish recruiting as a competitive advantage that advances our purpose of cultivating a kinder world where everyone has a neighborhood they can rely on
