What we are looking for:

• Self-motivated leader with a passion for operations  security engineering
• Strong leader who can bring stakeholders together on challenging security initiatives
• Innovative problem solver, able to navigate through ambiguity
• Grounded in solid information security  engineering practices

Responsibilities of the role: (3 must haves)

• Support the security roadmap with all employees and drive it forward 
• Support information security awareness program, threat modeling, and other major security programs 
• Play a key role in evolving our information security team

Requirements:

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, the OSI model, DNS, HTTP, VPN, routing & switching, and load balancer technologies for virtual and physical networks
• Knowledge of threats to include common attack vectors, methodologies and payloads/exploits
• Ability to support, assist in implementing and administering security solutions, e.g., firewalls, proxies, WAFs, DLP, malware detection/EDR, etc.
• Operational experience with security logging, event correlation, and SIEM technologies.
• Knowledge of endpoint security technologies; e.g., antivirus, EDR, FIM, etc.
• Knowledge of secure configuration management across multiple platforms
• Exposure to NIST and CIS frameworks
• Curious, inquisitive, innovative, lifelong learner and self-starter
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Able to effectively give, receive, and respond to feedback
• Experience with zero-trust practices, modeling authentication and authorization architectures
• Familiarity with security controls, including ISO/SOC, NIST 800-53, and vulnerability databases such as Mitre’s CVEs
