<p>As a Lead Data Scientist at Hims & Hers, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to apply data science and machine learning techniques to improve our marketing, products and processes. You will partner cross-functionally with Analytics, Product, Marketing and Operations to run deep-dive analysis, and build data products. You will partner with analysts, machine learning engineers, and others to build and implement data products that help advance our mission to eliminate stigmas and break down barriers to healthcare access.</p>
<p>You’ll be a leader who has a passion for driving business impact through data science, has strong communication skills, and enjoys doing hands-on work with a deep and broad technical toolset. <h3><strong>You Will:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Provide technical guidance and thought leadership on data science methodologies, tools, and best practices</li>
<li>Identify opportunities to apply data science and machine learning solutions across marketing and product, and operations</li>
<li>Create data science roadmaps that accelerate hims & hers business goals</li>
<li>Drive projects in areas like marketing optimization, customer segmentation, lifetime value and retention prediction, importance modeling of early customer interactions, and revenue forecasting</li>
<li>Partner with engineers and business stakeholders to design, develop and deploy ML products end-to-end to drive business outcomes</li>
<li>Empower the Data Science team through mentorship and collaborative efforts, actively pursuing opportunities to foster cross-team knowledge expansion and mentorship initiative</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>You Have:</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>10+ years working in Engineering and/or Data Science with a record of building ML models that have a measurable impact on the business</li>
<li>The ability to deliver business impact in the context of ambiguity and evolving priorities to technical and non-technical stakeholders </li>
<li>Ability to develop technical roadmaps for solving complex business problems</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical partners</li>
<li>Experience developing and putting models into production, while also owning and maintaining production models long-term</li>
<li>Ability to manipulate large datasets with high dimensionality and complexity; proficiency in SQL and Python </li>
<li>Proficiency with ML tools such as pandas, sklearn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow</li>
<li>MS or PhD degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, or related field</li>
