About the Role:

We are looking for a highly detail-oriented person who loves digging deep into processes and figuring out ways to make them better! The candidate must be committed to understanding all touchpoints in the mortgage customer journey and ensuring that communications are being delivered as expected. They will help build new marketing campaigns to support revenue initiatives. Your responsibilities will range from the qualitative (such as proof-reading creative) to the quantitative (reviewing reports and analysing trends) to the technical (guiding the build of new fields to enhance the user experience). You’ll work across departments by supporting the mortgage operations team, with guidance from skilled marketing mentors. You have a passion for problem solving customer needs by utilizing marketing channels, to ultimately deliver ambitious revenue goals. This role will make a valuable contribution to the success of our mortgage programs and is a great way to build your marketing career. 

Responsibilities:

  • Project manage new mortgage operations communication initiatives and issue resolution
  • Subject matter expert understanding all customer touchpoints and associated communications for the mortgage product - particularly lower funnel experiences - with a focus on our mortgage journey
  • Document existing processes, collaborate across teams including Product, update branding, suggest and implement improvements to the lower funnel user experience
  • Design reporting dashboards in Looker (a data visualization tool) to monitor email performance
  • Review daily dashboards to ensure all emails, including triggered/automated emails, are being sent and identify trends
  • Deep dive into discrepancies between predicted and observed email volume 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve email delivery issues, including working with business partners (Salesforce Admin, Product, Engineering)
  • Support launch of new email campaigns including proof-reading, link testing, and data QA
  • Work with Business Intelligence team to define and QA data for new campaigns
  • Work with BI, Salesforce Admin, Product and Engineering team to incorporate new fields and triggers needed to optimize email campaigns
  • Ensure that email communications are meeting the needs of Mortgage and CS teams, and other stakeholders
  • Assist with mapping new communications roadmaps and support implementation and monitoring of other channels (e.g. SMS, Display retargeting) 

Education and Experience:

  • 3-4 years experience in a detailed oriented and data-driven role
  • Project management / experience pulling together cross-functional teams
  • Email test ideation and A/B testing
  • Proactive troubleshooter, digging deep into data and communication discrepancies 
  • Tenacious problem solver, working across business units to resolve issues
  • Experience bridging the gap between Marketing, BI, Product, and Engineering
  • Proofreading
  • MS Excel / Google sheets
  • Analytical / love data
  • Commitment to treating your coworkers with respect and fostering a collaborative work environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Looker or Tableau
  • A/B testing
  • Copywriting
  • Financial services experience (especially in the lending space / mortgage)
  • Sense of humor
