What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a business minded Operations & Logistics Associate who is eager to help scale our e-commerce operations. The Operations & Logistics Associate is responsible for ensuring smooth movement of inbound freight from our overseas manufacturing partners. You’ll help find creative solutions to a fast-paced and ever-changing supply chain environment, and you’ll help contextualize challenges to our cross-functional teams.

You are an excellent communicator and are extremely proactive. You are enthusiastic to learn, and a natural problem solver who works well in a team-oriented, collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You Will Own And How You Will Make A Difference:

• Execute all freight bookings and use judgment to seek opportunities to appropriately balance speed and cost based on business objectives 
• Evaluate opportunities for load consolidation to ensure alignment on key initiatives and receiving timelines for inbound product flow
• Manage and communicate ASN-shipment mapping, inbound receiving schedule and receiving priorities to warehouses
• Audit invoices, monitor shipping charges, and develop and measure carrier KPIs
• Responsible for the company’s duty drawback programs by collecting the information necessary for filings and helping to manage internal compliance practices around duties & taxes, recordkeeping, and more
• Keep up-to-date on industry trends related to port congestion, tariffs, shipping routes, etc.
• Perform data-driven analyses and reporting on shipping metrics (container volume optimization, air utilization, shipping route time/costs, etc.) and make recommendations for continuous cost optimization
• Perform data-driven analyses on our outbound & returns small parcel shipping metrics
• Work closely with cross functional business partners Planning, Finance, and Production, representing the Operations & Logistics team independently
• Support Supply Chain teams in managing various ad hoc projects and initiatives
• Other projects as directed by manager

Who You Are:

• Highly organized and eager to create new organizational methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Very detail oriented and passionate about data-driven decision making
• Adaptable to change and learning new tools and technologies

You Have: (3 must-haves)

• 2-5 years experience in freight management, international experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree with a strong academic background
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of Google Drive, Docs, Sheets
• Experience booking and managing freight
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience working in ecommerce retail a plus
