Grammarly improves lives by improving communication.
The Role

Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.

Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States.

The opportunity

Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Partner Platform Sales Executive to join our team, as part of our investment in our Partner Platform development. Based on strong market demand, Grammarly is establishing its first platform partnerships sales function as an integrated part of the pioneering team. The first hires of this function will be responsible for developing and shaping partner relationships with ISVs and similar companies to reach new markets and enhance partner companies’ offerings by integrating Grammarly’s world-class AI-powered writing assistant.

Your impact

As Partner Platform Sales Executive, you will have the opportunity to shape Grammarly’s fast-growing platform sales pipelines, and you will jump into supporting and closing existing deals on day one. Based on those efforts and learnings, you will begin to work with the Head of Product for Partner Platform and others to inform the longer-term strategy, define repeatable go-to-market models in core segments, and shape the structure and processes of the sales organization. It will be an exciting first twenty-four months.

  • In your first thirty days, you will establish command over the product–Partner Platform strategy.
  • By three months, you will close initial deals (already in the pipeline); manage a portfolio of 8–12 mid- and early-stage deals, and propose approaches to structure Sales efforts.
  • By six months, you will be fully ramped up in your role: You will have closed multiple deals sourced in the previous six months; refined initial assets and Sales motion approach; and worked with Product, Marketing, and Sales to define standards and practice (early) repeatable sales motions.
  • By the end of year one, you will participate in predictable pipeline/forecasting, and bookings/deal commits; have assisted in hiring the following Platform Sales Executives, and have helped define the go-to-market motion to scale.
  • Beyond the first year, there is potential to transition to a manager/leader role, if interested, or own a segment focusing on complex, bespoke relationships.
  • Within two years, you will be part of scaling a global business—working with a mature, fast-growing Sales team and go-to-market motions that you pioneered and helped to scale.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Has the drive to enhance solutions with Grammarly Business.
  • Brings experience constructing and executing deals with ISVs; working with products in deal cycles; selling to senior executives; navigating large organizations; and driving deals across the line.
  • Sets aggressive short- and long-term goals and possesses a strong internal drive to achieve them.
  • Demonstrates strong relationship-building skills—and understands the feelings, goals, fears, and dreams of others.
  • Demonstrates proactive discovery/diligence, account planning, consistent preparation, and objection handling with creative and confident solutions.
  • Has the ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data and make data-driven decisions to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Leverages others as experts to get deals done (e.g., Product, Engineering, Marketing, etc.)
  • Has a general understanding of tech partner models and alignment against strategic objectives (e.g., revenue as goal vs. breadth of distribution).

Support for you, professionally and personally

  • Professional growth: We hire people we trust, and we give team members autonomy to do their best work. We also support professional development with training, coaching, and regular feedback.
  • A connected team: Grammarly builds products that help people connect, and we apply this mindset to our own team. We have a highly collaborative culture supported by our EAGER values. We also take time to celebrate our colleagues and accomplishments with global, local, and team-specific events and programs.
  • Comprehensive benefits: Grammarly offers all team members competitive pay along with a benefits package that includes superior health care. We also offer support to set up a home office, ample and defined time off, gym and recreation stipends, admission discounts, and more.

We encourage you to apply

At Grammarly, we value our differences, and we encourage all—especially those whose identities are traditionally underrepresented in tech organizations—to apply. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, veteran status, disability status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
