Overview

The AI Economy Team at Microsoft is building the infrastructure that powers how organizations ground, deploy, and scale AI applications. We are looking for a Principal Product Manager, Developer Adoption & Ecosystem to accelerate how developers discover, adopt, and successfully deploy Microsoft AI platform capabilities.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will own developer adoption outcomes by identifying barriers to developer success and driving investments across the ecosystem that make Microsoft the easiest platform for developers to build on. You will shape strategy across partnerships, integrations, libraries, tooling, platform workflows, and community feedback loops, helping developers move from initial evaluation to successful production deployment.

This is a highly cross-functional role for a product leader who can operate in ambiguity, deeply understand developer needs, and translate ecosystem signals into scalable product investments. You will combine strong product judgment, technical depth, developer empathy, and a data-driven approach to accelerate adoption, retention, and ecosystem growth.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Develop ecosystem strategies that make Microsoft AI capabilities easier to discover, evaluate, integrate, and deploy.
  • Identify high-impact partnership opportunities across developer platforms, frameworks, tools, and communities to expand reach and reduce developer friction.
  • Establish metrics and operating mechanisms to measure developer activation, retention, production deployment, and ecosystem health.
  • Gather insights from customers, partners, and developers to guide product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Partner across Engineering, Developer Relations, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to align investments and improve developer outcomes.
  • Drive alignment across multiple organizations contributing to the developer journey while maintaining a focus on measurable adoption outcomes.
