UCT is looking for a talented Production Manager to join us in Fremont, CA! 

Develops and implements the company's production control functions including any of the following activities: master scheduling, production planning/coordination, shop scheduling and dispatching, material requirements, planning systems, work-in-process tracking, material and labor variance controls, and manufacturing performance reporting. Approves quantities, schedules and lists provided to the material control organization to ensure timely and complete ordering, as well as receipt and issuance of production material requirements. Responsible for planning, reviewing, and developing production procedures and personnel. May coordinate activities with materials function using enterprise resource planning systems. Maintains reports to reflect scheduling, methods, support performance and process procedures. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving identified revenue targets for Quantum Global Technologies’ products and/or services.
  • Responsible for interpreting and executing corporate policies that affect the unit and recommend modifications to operating procedures.
  • Maintains frequent contact with all key functional organizations at each customer site that influences the use, application, or commitment to QGT products and services. Ensure QGT is properly positioned to secure next generation opportunities.
  • Works directly with key personnel to develop quick responses to issues and coordinate feedback and corrective actions to the customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring customers receive up-to-date business information on an ongoing basis.
  • Works closely with human resources to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Technical Content Expert –Possesses up-to-date knowledge, with demonstrable experience in semiconductor parts cleaning, process implementation, environmental health and safety standards and the ability to manage and drive quality and operations initiatives.
  • People Management & Coaching – Recruits and hires the right people for regular and temporary assignments; accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees; gives timely, specific feedback and helpful coaching; builds teamwork; provides challenging assignments and opportunities for development; delegates and empowers; removes obstacles.
  • Process Management – Approaches work by understanding the current state, desired state, restraining and supporting forces at issue in any situation; reinforces this mindset with the fundamental capability to utilize and implement the quality process of identification, control, and continuous improvement to address relevant workplace issues.
  • Planning & Organization –Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.

 

Educational/Certification Requirement

  • BS or BA degree, or direct equivalent experience coupled with some post high school education.
  • MBA a plus

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:  

    • 3 years’ minimum managerial experience.
    • 5 years’ minimum in process operations experience.
    • Semiconductor experience a plus.
    • ISO 9000 experience beneficial.

  • Prolonged sitting with some standing and bending intermittently during work hours.

Environmental Exposure: 

  • Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable.
  • Subject to frequent interruptions.
  • The ability to talk on the phone and use a computer for extended periods may be required.
  • May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computers, etc.

 

Overnight Travel:  

  • Work may require out-of-town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting).

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $101,600.00 and $162,700.00/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.  

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
