Where we need help

We are looking for a visionary and a leader to start and grow eCommerce analytics practice. This person will be responsible for identifying opportunities for optimizing website/app experience through rigorous data analysis, suggests a test to improve conversion funnel, identify and remediate the gap in current data collection methods. This person will be a key player in creating and executing a product roadmap for digital products for many years.

What does the job entail?

  • Constantly looking for opportunities to improve common eCommerce metrics (e.g. site performance, email capture, conversion rate, cross-sale/up sale, user engagement)
  • Understand the needs of the business. Develop a POV on how and what tools we might need to supplement the weaknesses of the current web analytics set-up
  • QA and validate that all Google Analytics (GA) implementations for new and existing projects are capturing the correct data points accurately; Identify gaps in current data capture strategy to create an improvements roadmap that can support future digital product roadmap effectively. 
  • Timely and effectively communicate insights related to user experience and behavior on website/app to enable educated decision making
  • Utilize data insights to inform the development of A/B and multivariate tests (including developing a hypothesis, influencing creativity, identifying success metrics, and analysis) that drive improvement of key website, mobile app, and customer metrics. Prioritize tests based on their size of business impact
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all digital medium analytics and measurement tools; stay current on latest trends in web measurement strategies. Evaluate and vet new technologies to complement or replace tools in our analytics suite
  • Periodic deep-dive analysis into vexing business questions
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly and monthly e-commerce reports and dashboards, tracking key metrics and flagging any trends or performance issues

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Willing to challenge status quo, not afraid to ask questions, and comfortable working with executives

More practical skills needed:

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Statistics, economics, marketing, mathematics, or a similar field
  • 2-3 years of professional experience working in digital marketing, eCommerce, or similar field
  • Expert with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience using Google Analytics 360 (or other mainstream web analytics platform) and proficient in web testing platform (Optimizely, Adobe etc.)
  • Product management experience of in-house use of Google Analytics 360, Google Tag Manager, web testing platforms (Optimizely, Adobe, etc.), and other related software systems.
  • Proficient in Google Tag Manager and tag implementation in general
  • Proficient in SQL and comfortable working in Snowflake, BigQuery, and AWS
  • Advanced Excel skills 
  • Proficient in basic hypothesis testing framework and comfortable using statistics basic in all data analysis
  • Working experience of Looker (BI tool) is a plus
