Senior Cloud Security Engineer - Remote

About the Role: 

Customers all over the world trust Minted with their memories, and maintaining the security of our users' information is a top priority. Reporting to the Director of Information Security, the Senior Cloud Security Engineer is a new position being created to take ownership of cloud network security across the company. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be responsible for Minted’s network security across multiple production and corporate environments in the cloud.

You Will:

• Work closely with the IT and SRE Teams to harden and defend Minted’s cloud networks.
• Ensure that Minted has secure-by-default cloud systems through the use of templates and baselines.
• Reviewing and analyzing existing enterprise cloud security.
• Increase effectiveness and efficiency, and develop strategies to improve or enhance our cloud environment.
• Reviewing and analyzing existing networking monitoring and make recommendations on increasing security visibility of our cloud environments.
• Assist in the triage of alerts and assist IT and SRE teams in issue remediation.
• Work with Engineering teams to help educate on cloud security best practices.

You Are:

• Patient and thoughtful; able to perform under pressure and simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
• Identifies, documents, manages, and communicates risks, issues, and scope changes to stakeholders as appropriate.
• Work well cross-functionally, and can communicate with audiences who may not have a security background.
• Willing to both help design and implement changes - not adverse to rolling up your sleeves and digging in.

You Have:

• Have 5+ years of total experience working in cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrable experience architecting and managing networking in the cloud (AWS & GCP).
• Have a deep, passionate interest in cybersecuritySolid experience in Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
• Experience in design and implementation of automation frameworks to speed up network deployments and perform repetitive tasks.
• Background with network remediation requests from Security Teams.
• Solid experience setting up network monitoring systems .
• Experience with data protection technologies including encryption, key management, and data loss prevention,
• Solid understanding of Threat prevention, intrusion detection systems.

• eCommerce or SaaS experienceWork in a regulated environment with PII data (CCPA/SOC2/ISO27000)
