About the team
Turo is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to join our growing SF team and turbo-charge Turo’s growth in the US. This analyst will have the opportunity to work within the Risk and Protection domain and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Trust and Safety teams. The ideal person for this role possesses strong quantitative and analytics skills, is a demonstrated self-starter that operates with an ownership mindset, possess excellent communication skills, and has the ability to get up to speed quickly on different topics and areas.
What you’ll do:

<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Analyze complex data sets to identify areas of opportunities, formulate  actionable recommendations, and test these insights </li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Present analysis and recommendations to Exec leadership and work with product teams to rapidly execute and iterate based on feedback</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Establish data specifications, build ETL pipelines, and assess the impact of new product releases and policy changes on the platform</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Lead experimentation from designing tests to analyzing results that lead to product launch decisions</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Partner with product, data science, and operations leadership to influence the direction of the product with the goal of improving user experience and/or profitability of the business</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Support ad-hoc analytical projects based on Turo strategic priorities</li>

Your profile:
<ul class="ul1">
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">5+ years experience in product/data analytics, data science, business intelligence, or strategy consulting; experience in consumer tech, marketplaces or e-commerce a strong plus</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Top notch quantitative skills; strong proficiency in conducting detailed data analysis and using metrics to drive business results</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience designing and executing AB tests</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Experience transforming data into presentations that “tell the story” behind the data</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Strong SQL skills are a must; experience with BI & visualization tools is a strong plus </li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must be intellectually curious, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to multitask</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Must have strong communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex insights</li>
<li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Thrive working in a collaborative environment and have experience working cross-functionally</li>
<li style="font-size: 10pt;">Must have a positive attitude, high integrity, and strong work ethic</li>

The SF base salary target range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $175,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in San Francisco, CA. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
