The Role:


The Senior Director, Brand Operations & Production, holds a key leadership position within the company and is critical in bringing our brand to life. They will develop a foundation for the Creative Studio and Operations Team to flourish, enabling the group to express Minted’s brand and deliver materials that achieve marketing objectives across all consumer touchpoints. This role oversees everything the Creative Studio & Operations Team needs to plan, build, create and grow: technology, tools, resource management and staffing, budget management, departmental operations, and process design.


This position reports to the Vice President of Brand Marketing and works cross-functionally with many teams across the organization, including but not limited to Marketing, Merchandising, UX, and Artist Relations. Direct reports for this position include, but are not limited to: Brand Operations Director, Creative Production & Studio Director, Print Production Manager and Digital Production Manager.

You Will:

  • People, Process & Tools
  • Define and continuously improve creative studio organizational structure and processes that enable Minted to grow and thrive as a brand
  • Recruit team to fill the new organizational structure
  • Partner with the VP of Brand Marketing to develop and implement processes to better enable seasonal planning and integrated marketing for all campaigns
  • Implement and oversee content/digital asset management system to ensure content is easily accessed by multiple stakeholders across the company and deployed efficiently across campaigns and placements for highest ROI
  • Identify and implement a project management system to increase efficiency for designers and enable holistic creative reviews
  • Create processes that leverage photoshoots across all marketing touchpoints, both digital and print, to maximize ROI on shoot investments
  • Improve communication throughout the team and ensure strategic information is immediately funneled to the appropriate team members to increase efficiency
  • Establish project planning, development, and execution expectations across the organization

  • Business Management
  • Work closely with Brand leadership, including the CEO, to help develop the annual brand marketing roadmap across all channels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan business needs and understand growth priorities on a quarterly basis
  • Oversee overall operations and studio/production schedule, trafficking, and resourcing
  • This includes design, photography, videography, retouching, copywriting, project management, and production
  • Engage business leaders to suggest content prioritization decisions to drive brand and business impact
  • Track, monitor, and report out to organization on Studio operations on a regular basis, leveraging best-in-class tools to ensure transparency and efficiency
  • Manage content rights and releases, building accurate records archive and process to ensure compliance and protect the company's intellectual property
  • Provide financial oversight, management, and reporting of Studio & Operations activities, including managing projects to budget, as well as managing the overall department budget
  • Negotiate costs, hire and manage independent contractors, including agency partners and production vendors, as needed and within budget

  • Brand Stewardship
  • Work with VP Brand Marketing and Founder/CEO to maintain brand identity through project-managing brand initiatives
  • Ensure continual distribution and training of team on Brand guidelines for the overall Minted brand, as well as for each business vertical (in partnership with the VP of Brand Marketing and the Creative Directors)
  • Schedule and facilitate the post-review of work quarterly for the purpose of training the teams

You Are:

  • A self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and drive results in a fast-paced environment with shifting deadlines
  • Process-focused with ability to own and drive the roadmap with internal and external teams
  • Creative, curious, and passionate about design and taste making
  • A proven people leader and motivator with extensive creative operations, production, process, and project management experience and a passion for organizational optimization
  • Inspired by the potential of making great art more widely accessible

You Have:

  • 15+ years of experience in a production or project management role in e-commerce, including implementing a project management system
  • Proven people leadership with a talent for hiring, mentoring and empowering individuals
  • Passion for design and a desire to build a career in a creative company and industry
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines with attention to detail and clean execution
  • Experience managing a team in an operational function
  • Experience negotiating contracts with creative talent and resources, including agencies
  • Outstanding follow-up, organization, and time management skills
  • Experience across multiple marketing mediums including digital, video, TV, print, etc. preferred
  • A deep appreciation for art and design and how that can enrich people’s lives
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
