Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status
Crunchyroll employees are currently working from home, and we are still conducting remote interviews and hiring during this time. This role is expected to start remotely, and we’ll work closely with you as we understand every person has unique circumstances.

About the Team
At Crunchyroll, the HRBP team leads many efforts including partnering with managers across the organization on people management and development, organizational design and headcount planning, as well as employee relations, advocating for employees, and keeping a pulse on morale and evolution of company culture. The People team is a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about HR and its critical impact on an organization. In addition to the HRBP function, our broader People team consists of People Ops, Recruiting, Workplace Operations, and Learning, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement.
About You:
- BA/BS degree in business administration, psychology, communications or other related field
- 7+ years as an HRBP or related role, ideally with time in the tech industry
- In depth experience in multiple Human Resource subject areas including organizational design, talent planning, employee relations, performance management, talent development, compensation, diversity and inclusion, and federal, state, and local employment laws
- Experience building meaningful people programs that balance business and talent needs
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and coaching skills with a tried ability to develop trusting relationships and influence at all levels within the organization
- Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organization issues
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving capabilities; as well as the ability to make thoughtful decisions independently in a complex, ambiguous, fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- Ability to roll-up your sleeves and be creative to find resolutions and get things done
- Exceptional advising, coaching and facilitation skills
- Ability to operate independently, but a preference to succeed collectively with dedicated people who challenge you to do your best work
- Possess impeccable discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information
A day in the life of a Senior HR Business Partner:
- Work closely with business leaders to understand and contribute to each team's current state and desired future state, gaps, and priorities needed to achieve business goals
- Provide thought leadership, coaching, and development feedback to employees at all levels regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution. This will include the following areas: talent strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, talent development, performance, engagement, employee relations, compensation and rewards, recognition, and other people related topics
- Provide expertise in planning, execution and facilitation of employee relations management
- Create and implement strategic people programs that build cohesive teams, lead to development, and positively impact engagement and retention
- Use qualitative and quantitative data in order to inform key business and talent decisions
- Collaborate with other People Team functions (operations, recruiting, learning & engagement, etc.) to inform the design and implementation of People programs
- Align efforts with company culture, values and champion a positive employee experience by developing and leading HR programs that empower and engage team members
