The Sr. Manager, Belonging and Culture, will focus on the management of internal communication and events, training, and content management in support of our company’s Culture and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy. This role will work with the Belonging and Culture team to drive programs and activities based on business priorities and will liaison with internal teams such as Talent Acquisition, Retail, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Public Relations.

What does the job entail? 

Internal Communications & Events

  • Managing all-company meetings, including bi-weekly Allhands, quarterly Town Halls  where we share out information from our Board of Directors meetings, and our Toby Awards event to put a spotlight on individuals that embrace our values
  • Curating and sending bi-weekly newsletter to highlight various aspects of our business
  • Organizing speaker series to highlight prominent people around topics germane to our business
  • Overseeing our intranet for important corporate information
  • Collaborating with our retail communications coordinator to synthesize company-wide information

Diversity and Inclusion

  • Design, deliver, communicate, and execute on DEIB programs, policies, and guidelines to attract, retain and advance a highly skilled and talented diverse workforce. 
  • Partner and engage with executive leaders to create and embed diversity and inclusion strategies with lines of business. 
  • Maintain project plans, manage communications, proactively identify and address project risks and opportunities as well as determine alternative ways to achieve project/program goals. 
  • Lead diversity initiatives/programs with reporting metrics and mechanism(s) to monitor and assess effectiveness. 
  • Leverage data to make recommendations to D&I programs/initiatives, processes, and procedures, and remove barriers as needed. 
  • Develop and measure success criteria to assess value impact to include but not be limited to diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention. 
  • Apply judgment in tailoring methodologies, processes and practices to specific requirements of programs/projects and business units. 

What kind of person are we looking for?

  • Proven experience in diversity & inclusion focus with consulting, strategy development, change management and project management.
  • High emotional quotient (EQ), and strong customer focus such that the person can intuit opportunities to delight our employees
  • Clear communicator to ensure that our internal communications are effective and constantly evolving with the needs of our business
  • A mature leader who can interact closely with our co-CEOs to deliver thoughtful messages to the organization through written and spoken comms opportunities
  • Strong manager of people, both through direct reporting lines, and management through influence
  • Ability to partner and work strategically with cross-functional teams to drive overall solutions, while appropriately managing issues and risks and large-scale change management

  • Expert in and Google Drive

  • Experience in diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Broad background in people practices affecting culture and engagement
