Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Robotics Commercial Insights & Strategy will serve as a strategic leader within Global Strategic Insights (GSI), partnering closely with Global Strategic Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders to shape business-critical decisions for robotic surgery platforms.

This role goes beyond traditional market research—it is about owning the insights agenda, aligning diverse stakeholders, and translating complex data into clear strategic direction.

You will act as the central orchestrator of customer and market understanding—connecting internal teams, external partners, and multiple data sources to deliver high-impact, decision-ready insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritize the global insights agenda
    -Define and manage a portfolio of high-impact insights initiatives
    -Align research priorities with business strategy, product lifecycle, and commercial needs
  • Lead end-to-end insights strategy and execution
    -Translate business questions into structured learning plans May require up to 20% travel (domestic and international) 
    -Design and oversee primary and secondary research, analytics, and synthesis
    -Integrate multiple data sources into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Drive cross-functional alignment in a matrixed organization
    -Partner with global, regional, and functional stakeholders (marketing, R&D, finance, strategy)
    -Influence decision-making through data-driven storytelling and executive-ready outputs
  • Manage external vendor ecosystem
    -Select, scope, and oversee external research partners and agencies
    -Ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of deliverables
  • Navigate complexity and change
    -Balance competing priorities, shifting timelines, and evolving business needs
    -Bring structure, clarity, and momentum in ambiguous environments
  • Enable business impact
    -Deliver insights that shape innovation strategy, market entry, forecasting, and investment decisions
    -Drive a culture of insight-led decision-making across the organization

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, analytics, or related field
  • 8 years of relevant experience with 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Market research / customer insights
  • Global or regional marketing
  • Strategy, analytics, or management consulting

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Operate effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
  • Manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, and timelines
  • Deliver high-quality work in fast-paced, evolving business contexts
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supporting market research and insights initiatives
  • Familiarity with primary research design, methodologies, and learning plans
  • Experience managing external vendors or agency partners: in end-to-end vendor and project management, including drafting RFPs, evaluating proposals, negotiating scope, managing timelines and budgets, and overseeing data quality 
  • Exposure to healthcare, medtech, or capital equipment environments
  • Experience supporting product strategy, innovation, or commercialization efforts
  • Familiarity with forecasting, analytics, or strategic planning processes
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent)
  • Excel proficiency
  • May require up to 20% travel (domestic and international)

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$142,000.00 - $244,950.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
