Design the products that power global trade.The opportunity:

As a Senior Designer on the Freight Forwarding Application design team you will drive the user experience across multiple tools that operators use to manage the logistics workflow. You’ll craft features that enable users to prioritize, plan, and execute international shipments that travel on all modes. You will work  on products that serve users around the world.

You will:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape the product design vision and strategy within your area of focus.
  • Conduct user research to gather actionable insights that inform design decisions.
  • Work closely with other designers, engineering and product teams, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to shape the future of logistics tools.
  • Inspire and motivate team members using design thinking methodologies to elevate design quality.
  • Build and iterate on prototypes to test and refine concepts.
  • Present design work in various fidelities to management and leadership, clearly articulating your rationale.
  • Drive your team to push the boundaries of UX excellence and innovation.
  • Contribute to and recommend ways to enhance and extend Flexport’s design system.
You should have:
  • 7+ years of professional hands-on design experience, with a preference for tools design experience.
  • Strong portfolio of product design work illustrating multiple successfully launched products. Please include a link and password to your portfolio.
  • Ability to clearly articulate your design work, including workflows, process maps, and rationale, while advocating for UX principles.
  • Expert understanding and application of user-centered design methods.
  • Experience working with product teams in a dynamic, agile environment.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and vision.
  • A proven track record to ship and deliver both user and business success.
  • A degree in HCI, UX, Interaction Design, related fields are preferred.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the posting's respective region. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range displayed, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and / or training. 
The US base salary range for this position (exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits):
$154,560$193,200 USD
