Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person every quarter in one of Grammarly’s hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of their direct team.
Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States.
The opportunity
Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our Growth team. Grammarly’s vision is to improve lives by improving communication—and core to this vision is meeting the communication needs of people worldwide. The Product Manager, Growth will play a crucial role in acquiring, retaining, and monetizing users through customer-centric features and user flows. This role will drive key Growth product initiatives for user acquisition, building the mechanisms that allow us to acquire various types of users, learn about them, route them into the right experiences, and maintain them long-term.
Your impact
As Senior Product Manager on the Growth team, you will incubate, test, and scale new product experiences and capabilities that drive company-level metrics specifically related to new user acquisition. You will gain a deep understanding of our various customer segments and their jobs to be done, and design and build innovative features and flows comprising a product-led acquisition engine.
To achieve this goal, you’ll need to build new experiences and capabilities from scratch, such as viral hooks into places where people write together collaboratively (e.g., Google Docs), and will also need to consider the many contexts where people use Grammarly.
In this role, you will:
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of key Growth product initiatives related to user acquisition.
- Partner closely with Marketing and User Research teams to understand various user segments and growth opportunities.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer journey, continually gaining learnings and making decisions through customer insights, quantitative analysis, and A/B testing.
- Work with a team of engineers, designers, and data scientists to build delightful, outstanding Growth features and flow.
- Rapidly execute and iterate with an emphasis on user delight, impact, and learning while regularly making bold bets and calculated tradeoffs.
We’re looking for someone who
- Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
- Can be highly strategic and hands-on, with the ability to see and plan for the mid- and long-term, connecting priorities to the company and product vision and translating that into an actionable roadmap.
- Has an owner’s mindset—and doesn’t shy away from the hard stuff.
- Demonstrates the ability to drive projects in partnership with cross-functional teams, with an emphasis on prioritization, communication, and a bias toward action and results.
- Possesses strong analytical skills, competence in SQL, and experience with tools for doing data analysis.
- Is an exceptional problem solver and thrives in ambiguity—with an attitude that embraces the twists and turns of any zero-to-one product initiative.
