In 2020, in the face of a global pandemic, our self-service ticketing and experience technology platform helped more than 650,000 creators issue over 230 million free and paid tickets to approximately 4.6 million events in nearly 180 countries. As we look forward to a resurgence of in-person events, we are looking for a highly skilled, experienced technical product manager who can define and drive Eventbrite's identity and access management vision and strategy.
THE ROLE
Eventbrite is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help lead the charge as we continue strengthening our identity platform. In a world of hybrid events, this team will work to keep our Identity and Access Management platform safe, secure, and simple. As a Senior PM, you will shape the future of experiencing live experiences on Eventbrite. You will bring your vision on how we can help our customers securely authenticate with our products and manage users efficiently while minimizing risk by delivering a best-in-class identity and access management solution.
Working on this team will allow you the opportunity to cast a product vision for the user experience that delights users and deliver the systems and platform necessary for making that vision a reality. This role will involve performing Product discovery, prioritizing Identity needs for various stakeholders, improving existing infrastructure, and implementing platform wide rollouts for IAM improvements. The Senior Product Manager for this team will work closely with many different teams in the organization, which will require strong communication around requirements, prioritization, and change management.
YOU WILL
- Championing a product-led approach to authentication, authorization, and user management, always advocating for the customer and collaborating widely to deliver the best outcomes for all stakeholders.
- Establishing a comprehensive and detail-oriented understanding of the needs of your customers and stakeholders.
- Building the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Identity strategy
- Managing the full strategic life cycle of your portfolio of products: lead the ideation, roadmapping, technical development, launch, and continuous improvement of innovative and sustaining products.
- Managing tactical execution: partner with internal customer teams to define business requirements, gather and prioritize functional requirements, define use cases and craft product specifications, and govern the product backlog.
- Clearly communicating vision, strategy, roadmaps, and progress to a variety of internal customers and stakeholders, including product teams, technical collaborators, and senior leadership.
- Defining and implementing best practices for Identity and Access Management at Eventbrite.

THE SKILL SET
- Extreme attention to detail and ability to self-audit work.
- Excellent analytical skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to convey complex requirements in a clear, concise and credible manner
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- 5+ years as a product manager working on data-driven products or platforms
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience
- Experience working with a very technical team on developer-facing products

Technical PM knowledge and experience: Experience creating functional and technical specifications
BONUS POINTS
- Experience designing and implementing Single-Sign-On solutions involving OAuth 2.0 and Open ID Connect authorization workflows via Managed platforms such as Cognito or Auth0
- Experience working with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Technical Experience or strong knowledge in Authentication, Authorization, or User Management
- Experience with RBAC, ABAC, or other access control methodologies
- Familiarity managing complex permission systems in custom domains
- Former engineers with hands-on experience implementing IAM roles, cookies, and/or Okta integrations
- Familiarity with microservice architectures and associated infrastructure
- Experience rolling out platform wide changes
