Join our community! We’re looking for a Senior Property Accountant who is responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions required to produce property billings, collections and contribute to the monthly GAAP financial statements.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations 
  • Record monthly property adjusting and accrual entries
  • Prepare presentation of institutional partner financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statement analysis according to GAAP with variance reporting
  • Compile monthly financial statement package with required supporting documentation 
  • Work cross functionally to address property ledger accounting questions
  • Assist in the annual audit and tax return preparation 
  • Record tenant receipts against monthly charges 
  • Process monthly tenant billings and other miscellaneous billbacks 
  • Monitor tenant accounts for overages/shortages and past due amounts 
  • Process payable invoices: review, code and acquire proper approvals 
  • Manage weekly property related cash flows to drive timely and accurate property payments
  • Work with business operations and engineering to continue to improve manual and system controls
  • Collaborate across the organization to improve reporting accuracy and drive ongoing automation
  • Finally, assist in annual budget preparation by providing property accounting thought leadership and suggestions for model inputs

Who you are:

  • You have 2+ years in property accounting.

  • You are an accountant with 5+ years of experience and may want to become a CPA

  • It is important for you to develop your written and oral presentation skills
  • You have experience working in Real Estate, a REIT, and/or property management.
