HOVER is looking for a quality engineer with a passion for testing and delivering high quality products. As a Senior Quality Advocate you will collaborate with product managers, customer successes, and UX/UI designers, while coordinating with Cloud, Graphics, and Mobile developers on testing and releasing new products as well as enhancing existing products.
The HOVER Quality team are user advocates. We collaborate with all HOVER teams to validate & verify products meet the demands of our users. We build tools to help ensure the functionality of the overall system & its maintainability.
You will contribute by:
We are looking for someone who is passionate about mobile technology and applications. You will actively participate in test strategy, development, execution, and troubleshooting of our user experience. You’ll create, execute, and maintain comprehensive and air-tight test plans. You have an innate enthusiasm for digging into technical specifications and troubleshooting problems. You are process driven and able to help identify, implement, and iterate on the ways teams collaborate. You communicate well, and instinctively take initiative in improving product coverage and effectiveness. You will be constantly finding just the right balance to help engineering in shipping as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Your background includes:
- 3+ years experience creating and maintaining functional and regression test suites for multiple product lines, including iOS, Android, web-based, and additional platforms
- 3+ years experience testing mobile applications, understanding the special challenges specific to mobile platforms (Android and iOS)
- Execute and debug testware while providing regular status against test plans
- Work collaboratively with other engineers
- Responsible for unstructured and structured tasks. May require new perspectives and creative approaches to address less defined issues
- Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment
- Demonstrated ability to help ship new features and products
- Effectively communicate product quality status to peers and the leadership team while driving recommendations for increased product quality and testability
- Not afraid to identify inefficient processes and suggest creative solutions
