The Contractor Platform team, part of the International Engineering Organization is focused on building tools that allow our customers to hire, pay, and interact with international contractors. We have been live for less than a year, so our offering is limited to customers inviting contractors from over 30 countries onto the platform and paying them. However, our roadmap includes building features that support both our customer companies and international contractors, including, but not limited to, enabling more countries, supporting more currencies, invoice tools, and reporting.

<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<ul>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">5+ years of professional hands-on backend software development experience</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Strong object-oriented design and coding skills and solid understanding of data structures and algorithms</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Proven experience architecting solutions for complicated systems</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working on early stage products and building new feature from scratch, using clean, organized, and scalable code</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience supporting other engineers and acting as a “tech lead”</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience working using Agile/Scrum methodology in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li style="font-weight: 400;">Experience in a high-growth environment working with deadlines and milestones</li>
<li>Experience working on software that enables money movement would be beneficial</li>
</ul>
Technologies Used
We are building a highly available and globally distributed Ruby on Rails API with Kubernetes on AWS. The front-end is built on React with TypeScript and GraphQL. Observability, monitoring, and metrics are managed through DataDog and Rollbar. Internal tooling is built with Retool.
