About this Role

The Fandom Tabletop team is seeking an experienced front-end engineer that is passionate about client-side technologies and creating the highest quality RPG tools in the market. You will work on a cross-functional team on a day-to-day basis and participate in establishing best practices for the organization via the Front End Guild.

 You Will...

  • Build high-quality solutions with modern web technologies such as React, HTML5, and Sass
  • Consume RESTful APIs using industry-standard best practices
  • Contribute to and consume NPM libraries, both internal and open source
  • Give quality feedback on code reviews for peers
  • Write maintainable and unit-tested code at scale
  • Research and learn new technologies and share your knowledge with your peers
  • Participate in on-call rotations for full-stack infrastructure
  • Demonstrate team ownership over individual silos

 You Have...

  • 5+ years of Consumer Web software engineering experience
  • Expertise in a modern form of more than one of the following languages: C#, Java, Golang, Python, PHP, TypeScript, JavaScript.
  • A high degree of proficiency in how to optimize full-stack web systems, in both dynamic and highly cached environments.
  • Experience building large user personalization systems with an average monthly base of millions of monthly users, preferably scaled to 10x those numbers
  • An ability to hit the ground running; digest what we have, where we are going, and use previous experiences to drive forward within a few weeks.
  • Demonstrated experience explaining complicated technical plans to a variety of audiences and business stakeholders.
