HouseCanary is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to help us strategically grow our world-class team. We strive to attract, engage, and hire great talent. You will partner closely with key stakeholders across product, design and engineering to align on and optimize our technical hiring engine, and serve as a candidate advocate to ensure a top-notch experience. You will have the opportunity to build the operational foundation and define what great recruiting looks like at HouseCanary, as well as help us create our talent strategy as we shift toward a remote-first culture.
What you'll do:
- Be a recruiting expert. You will manage the full cycle recruiting process for our Engineering, Product and Design teams, ensuring a seamless, uniform and incredibly positive candidate experience.
- You'll be creative and analytical in building a system that attracts top candidates.
- Create job descriptions, role profiles, and offer packages based on the position and company requirements
- Negotiate offers. By partnering with hiring managers and any relevant stakeholders and working cross-functionally with legal, compensation/benefits, immigration, etc.
- Be data and process-driven. You will guide recruiting strategy and decisions with a data-driven approach.
- Think outside the box. The recruiting landscape is getting increasingly competitive. Generating innovative best in class recruiting solutions to improve existing recruiting processes and develop new systems to better candidate pipeline and candidate experience will help set HouseCanary apart.
- Partnership-focused. Our hiring managers own their pipelines as much as the recruiting team. Creating a collaborative partnership with hiring managers and setting appropriate expectations will be critical to the recruiting team’s success.
- Be proactive. Be action oriented and results driven to overcome recruiting obstacles and establish standards and areas of responsibility for others.
- Source candidates. You will source from relevant networks, online and internal databases, employee referrals and passive candidates through networking and research
What we're looking for:
- 3-6 years of recruiting experience (agency or in-house).
- Proven track record recruiting and sourcing candidates of non-executive levels (early in career to Director level), and ability to adjust hiring process and strategy accordingly
- Ability to strategically partner with and advise executive leaders throughout the recruiting process
- Understanding of what great process-driven recruiting looks like, and is able to apply data to inform recruiting strategy and decisions
- Familiarity with technology markets and competitive landscape (analytics and/or SaaS a plus)
- Experience with Lever or other similar ATS systems.
- Ability to quickly learn a technical product and articulate its value proposition and story to candidates
- Successfully deliver on all deadlines and flawlessly execute in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Prior experience building recruiting strategy around diversity is a plus. You have researched best practice for full life cycle recruitment programs, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. You'll design, develop and implement innovative outreach programs using diversity and inclusion best practice in support of HouseCanary's strategic initiatives.
- You'll track talent acquisition metrics and provide data and reports on a regular basis to help us monitor and evaluate effectiveness of diversity sourcing and hiring.
