Senior Technical Writer

We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team!

At Rescale, this means you will:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
• Create a strategy for building documentation that describes “the facts” of our features that satisfies customers and the sales team needs
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience, while addressing the shortcomings of completeness of both internal and external documentation
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
• Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Create and maintain the information architecture of the product and guide the tone and style of communication we use with customers

What we’re looking for:

• 5-7 years experience as a senior technical writer in a related technical field
• Experience dealing with both internal and external help systems/documentation systems
• Experience working on technical products in both cloud and on-prem platforms
• Experience building and leading small teams of technical writers
• Experience working with design teams, with a focus on user experience outcomes of the material
