Senior Technology Compliance Analyst
As a Senior Technology Compliance Analyst, you will help scale and improve Fastly’s technology compliance program to accommodate the growing and evolving needs of our customers. This is a unique opportunity to advance our focus on compliance as a competitive advantage that grows our business and increases customer confidence in our service offerings.
You have a well-rounded background in technology audit and assurance, with prior experience reviewing or implementing controls in modern DevOps-friendly environments. You are also an effective communicator and problem solver who can collaborate with people both inside and outside the organization, including department heads, engineers, auditors, and customers.
This position will report to the Director, Technology Compliance and will work closely with partners across the organization, including Security, Engineering, Sales, Program Management, and People Team.
What You'll Do
- Maintain a deep understanding of our multi-product platform and its supporting infrastructure and processes, as well as how our compliance obligations apply to that environment
- Provide responses to and maintain reference material for customer inquiries and due diligence procedures that involve technology compliance
- Continuously confirm and refine Fastly’s internal control framework and related documentation (e.g., policies, procedures, narratives, training material)
- Develop, perform, and report on internal testing of technology controls
- Actively identify and communicate control gaps; help the company develop and confirm remediation efforts
- Liaise with external auditors and internal partners to facilitate audit procedures and evidence gathering
- Support third party oversight processes, including security and compliance assessments of Fastly’s vendors and service providers
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of security or compliance analysis, or assurance/advisory experience, preferably including building controls in the technology space
- Experience mapping and rationalizing controls to meet requirements across multiple information security/technology compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 1/ SOC 2, FedRAMP, SOX IT General Controls)
- BS degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- CISA, CISM, CISSP, or related certification preferred
- Experience using governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC) tools preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to a wide spectrum of personalities
- A veritable compliance cheerleader whose enthusiasm is both endearing and infectious
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple projects with minimal day-to-day oversight/direction
- A penchant for discretion
In accordance with applicable law, Fastly’s minimum base pay for this role if hired in Colorado is $94,000 per year. Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Fastly's equity plan. Final offer amount will be at the company’s sole discretion and determined by multiple factors, including years and depth of experience and expertise, location and other business considerations. Note that this role is available to candidates outside of Colorado and different minimum compensation may apply.
