We’re looking for a SEO Manager

Built In is seeking a highly-motivated and creative SEO Manager. You will report directly to the Director, SEO as a senior leader on the SEO Team. You will work closely with Editorial, Product, Design, and Engineering to provide strategic insights and tactical direction using SEO to grow Built In’s search traffic and user base across eight dedicated local sites and one national platform. You are someone who loves working collaboratively on a variety of projects and can easily explain complicated concepts to others. 

How you’ll contribute

  • Collaborate with the Director, SEO and others to create an SEO roadmap that addresses existing issues and potential enhancements 
  • Partner with editorial teams to maintain and improve our content library, streamlines processes, and implement SEO best practices
  • Study and analyze the competitor landscape and industry trends to identify growth opportunities for our content and product 
  • Follow SEO trends to keep our editorial teams up-to-date and ahead of the curve
  • Work with product management to create requirements to improve each site based on SEO research 

What you need

  • 3+ years SEO experience (in-house experience a plus)
  • Mastery of Google Analytics, Google Search Console
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent understanding of SEO concepts and experience finding and diagnosing SEO problems (technical and content) that have produced measurable impact 
  • Familiarity with OnCrawl (or similar tool) and Prerender (or similar program for JS rendering) is a plus
  • Experience working with single-page applications and javascript SEO is a plus
