We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Frontend Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our quality assurance team at Coinbase. This role is pivotal in establishing a robust Frontend testing framework and culture within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving test automation strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
Test Strategy and Architecture

<li>Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and frameworks</li>
<li>Design scalable and maintainable test automation architectures</li>
<li>Evaluate and introduce new testing tools and methodologies to improve efficiency</li>
</ul>
Quality Assurance
<ul>
<li>Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts</li>
<li>Ensure thorough coverage across functional, integration, performance, and security testing</li>
<li>Implement best practices for defect tracking, reporting, and resolution</li>
</ul>
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
<ul>
<li>Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines</li>
<li>Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline the testing process within the development lifecycle</li>
</ul>
Reporting and Communication
<ul>
<li>Provide regular status updates to team lead on testing progress and quality metrics</li>
<li>Present test results and quality insights to team lead</li>

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

<li>You have at least 5 years of Frontend experience in software engineering and at least 4 years of experience in developing web apps and shipping user-facing features with JavaScript and modern, component-based JS frameworks like React. </li>
<li>You've developed and shipped user-facing features using component-based UI frameworks.</li>
<li>You’re familiar with current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, security and usability.</li>
<li>You’re familiar with product and design lifecycles, and collaborating closely with designers, engineers, and product managers.</li>
<li>You write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers.</li>
