<p>Flexport is looking for an experienced Rails Infrastructure Engineer to help Flexport establish itself as the most trusted company in the global trade ecosystem.&nbsp;</p>
<h2><strong>You will:</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Partner with other engineers on the infrastructure team to continuously improve existing systems and processes.</li>
<li>Support and converge a diverse set of development and production platforms, including Buildkite, CircleCI, Github Actions, ECS, k8s, AWS Lambdas, local dev, remote dev, and shared dev.</li>
<li>Maintain awareness of the full landscape of infrastructure and developer experience tools and methodologies.</li>
<li>Create a culture of transparency, information sharing, and collaboration through the development of excellent documentation, mentoring of junior team members, and living Flexport’s values.</li>
<li>Participate in an oncall rotation to respond to critical incidents.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>You should have: </strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.</li>
<li>3+ years of infrastructure engineering experience supporting product development and engineering teams in a fast-paced global environment.</li>
<li>Deep understanding of Ruby on Rails</li>
<li>Familiarity with developer tools including source code and artifacts management, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration automation with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc)</li>
<li>Experience with IaaS cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, containers, and service-oriented architectures.</li>
<li>Excellence in problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to connect with empathy when delivering</li>
</ul>
