Solutions Engineer - EMEA
We are one of the most skilled teams in Fastly who value sharing and collaboration. As experts, we provide technical guidance to customers integrating our products into their application stacks. This means we are working with the latest innovations in technology. Learning about them and using our experience considering how they are best used.
We engage with customers all the way through their journey with Fastly. We start by building Proofs Of Concepts to demonstrate what our products are capable of. We also continue to work with customers as they get on-board helping implement our services with them. We deliver training sessions and help identify where customers might benefit from changes or other services of ours for better performance.
Our team comes from different backgrounds and locations. As we grow we look for people who can bring their own unique character and talent. We work flexibly, with a focus on delivering quality service to customers. Solutions Engineers join our team with room to grow. Developing their skills in many fields, learning from mentors to progress towards technical, or leadership roles.
This role is limited to non-US only.
What You'll Do
- Work with Sales Engineers to build Proofs Of Concepts for prospective customers
- Work with new customers to integrate Fastly into their systems during their on-boarding
- Work with existing customers providing guidance on additional features and performance tuning
- Write and deliver training materials to customers and internal teams
- Present training sessions to customers and internal teams
What We're Looking For
- 2 years experience of solving technical issues
- Be able to demonstrate knowledge of HTTP
- Created scripts or programs (in any language)
- You will have led a project
We value a variety of voices, so this is not a laundry list. It would be an added bonus if you have experience in ANY of these:
- Additional language (German, Swedish, Spanish, French, Dutch, Japanese, or Mandarin preferred)
- Experience with Rust, Javascript, or VCL
- Experience creating and delivering presentations
- Experience creating and delivering training sessions
