The mission for this role is to provide world-class product leadership, by establishing a strong Hardware Quality practice, and creating the systems that measure and improve our product quality and cost. You will need to assess, establish, implement, and track the Quality and compliance of our hardware product, both in design and at suppliers, manufacturers, and 3PL partners.

This role gives you a chance to make significant contributions to developing a hardware product that makes a difference in the lives of many people. You will have the opportunity to engage in a program from proto design to product going in the field.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Ensure the high-quality design of a manufacturable, and compliant iteration of our consumer electronics wearable product and future products.
• Ensure long-lasting and quality-oriented contract manufacturing and supplier relationships
• Ensure day-to-day leadership in coordinating the hardware quality process execution
• Ensure building out a world-class hardware team (operations and product), highly knowledgeable in the end-to-end supply chain

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience working with consumer electronics EMS contract manufacturers overseeing operations (Mfg, quality and reliability)
• Ability to lead projects and create product qualification plans and design reliability test plans
• Technical understanding of manufacturing issues to simplify communication for non-technical teams
• Ability to drive consensus when collaborating with cross-functional teams with conflicting interests
• Highly strategic and willing to think on their feet
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to make data driven decisions
