The VP of Engineering, Care Delivery and Data Platform will grow and lead teams that build world class applications for our Care Provider teams and Data Consumers. Their leadership will inspire the team to think big and execute swiftly on groundbreaking, valuable technologies that will enable Hinge Health to offer a digital health clinic of the future. 

This leader will report to the CTO and partner with him on the Technology vision and strategy for their space, and set HH for 10x growth that it is experiencing as we venture into broader health programs and markets. By both walking-the-walk and talking-the-talk (in publications, conferences, etc), they will help Hinge Health secure a reputation in the industry for high touch, innovative, and well-crafted technology. While doubling the team in headcount, their attention to detail and setting up scalable mechanisms and processes will also double the team’s throughput and; therefore, creative energy and morale. Their integrity, risk management, and clear communication will earn their team the highest trust from their peers in product and design, as well as from executive stakeholders. 

The ideal candidate will be excited by the ground-floor opportunity to build a world-class Agile quality system for a fast-growing, mission-driven digital health company. They will work with a diverse group of quality-first, customer-obsessed product teams with strong quality ownership. They will have creative freedom/mandate to innovate and experiment with new tools, techniques, and strategies to keep raising the bar on valuable innovative product development. WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Demonstrably raise the bar on technical excellence and code quality metrics
• Consistently achieve a high delivery rate of high-value features across a spectrum of small to big bets while ensuring high on-time delivery rate
• Scale team from 60 to 120 in 9-12 months with a strong focus on DEI and nearshoring. Build an energetic high-performance culture and strong morale, with engagement survey results >= HH avg 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Mobile app development expertise: including release management, observability, and performance. Fluent in modern web development and modern front end frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, Nuxt, Angular). 
• Proficient in high availability Distributed event-driven system design: including hybrid 1st and 3rd party systems.
• Fluent in latest data warehousing, data analytics and insights technologies with an ability to support a large number of concurrent business users across multiple business domains.
• Balance Vision & Execution: They collaborate with partners in product and design to present an inspiring technical vision that attracts top talent. 
• Results Driven: They measure themselves by results, not actions or good intentions. This is underpinned by focus, a bias for action, long-term thinking, and innovation.
• Leader of Leaders: Proven ability to lead through others, setting up mechanisms to stay connected to details as well as communicate effectively with people across the org working across a diverse portfolio.
