Drive architecture and delivery across analytics and classic search, ensure reliability, security, observability, and multi-deployment operability, and collaborate with product, design, infrastructure, and other engineering teams. Hire, coach, and provide technical guidance while improving operational maturity and enabling customer-facing reporting on a scalable, AI-ready data foundation.

Lead a team of senior and staff engineers focused on Git and Git-related infrastructure. Drive long-horizon work on scaling, performance, maintainability, and core Git architecture while balancing upstream open-source contributions with product and infrastructure priorities. Mentor engineers, foster technical rigor and ownership, and collaborate asynchronously across distributed teams and external Git community stakeholders.

Design and implement backend systems and agentic workflows to automate platform-readiness evaluations across GitLab deployment targets. Build schema-driven requirements, integrate with issues/merge requests/CI, partner with platform teams to encode validations, improve assessment accuracy, and mentor engineers while documenting architectural decisions.

Operate with deep customer proximity to diagnose and resolve high-impact adoption blockers, contribute production-grade fixes/features to GitLab, drive AI adoption patterns, coordinate cross-functional teams, and translate field learnings into reusable product improvements, guidance, and thought leadership.

Build and maintain agentic workflow components and integration surfaces to ensure features ship across GitLab deployment platforms. Contribute to platform requirements knowledge base, collaborate with platform teams, write tests, documentation, and evaluate agentic-workflow behavior.

Provide technical support for Self-managed and GitLab.com customers by troubleshooting Linux systems, reproducing and documenting bugs, creating merge requests, collaborating with Product and Engineering, producing support content, and participating in on-call rotations and hiring activities.
