Conduct AI and machine learning research for next-generation wireless networks. Develop, test, and evaluate algorithms and models addressing complex wireless communication challenges; explore emerging AI techniques; publish findings; and collaborate with research, development, and product teams to translate results into real-world technologies.

Design, train, and evaluate deep neural networks, foundation models, vision-language models, and AI agents for telecom applications. The Patent Attorney will manage Ericsson’s Wi-Fi and wireless communications patent portfolio. Responsibilities include evaluating inventions, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, managing patent dockets, developing claim charts and licensing packages, and supporting patent assertion, licensing negotiations, oppositions, and invalidation proceedings. The role requires USPTO registration, a U.S. state law license, and substantial patent experience focused on Wi-Fi technologies.

Own end-to-end modem firmware architecture for LGA modules, lead software stack integration and upgrade strategy, define baseband and platform guidelines, align firmware, hardware, RF, and platform teams, manage chipset-partner relationships, resolve system-level issues, guide performance optimization, and influence 5G platform roadmaps. The role requires deep embedded modem expertise, strong C/C++ skills, system debugging experience, and technical leadership.

Lead venture investment activities, including sourcing opportunities, developing market theses, evaluating companies, conducting due diligence, structuring deals, preparing investment recommendations, supporting portfolio companies, monitoring investments, and mentoring junior professionals. Build relationships with founders, investors, executives, and research communities while aligning investments with Ericsson’s strategic priorities.

Conducts advanced research on future Wi-Fi technologies across PHY and MAC layers, develops simulator-based evaluations, and supports IEEE 802.11 standardization. The role evaluates proposals, coordinates with research and product stakeholders, represents Ericsson in standards organizations and industry engagements, and communicates technical findings. Strong wireless communications, signal processing, programming, simulation, and standards expertise are required, with international travel and collaboration across diverse teams.
