Investigates, evaluates, reserves, negotiates, and resolves advanced California workers compensation claims. The role independently handles complex and large-loss cases, determines compensability and liability, directs litigation strategy with counsel, manages settlements and payments, identifies recovery opportunities, prepares claims reports, and supports team development through mentoring.

Leads service center and satellite claims operations, overseeing staffing, workflows, budgets, productivity, quality, reserves, compliance, client service, and claim resolution. Manages supervisors and staff, develops personnel, ensures adherence to company and carrier standards, reviews claim files, supports client and sales activities, and reports operational issues and performance to senior management.

Leads a liability claims team by supervising investigations, file assignments, reserves, evaluations, settlements, compliance, workload balancing, and timely claim closures. Establishes performance standards, conducts reviews, manages employee development and corrective actions, and supports service center operations. Reviews complex claims, coaches examiners, prepares teams for client and carrier reviews, escalates issues, and organizes workflows within the Risk Tech Claim System and related systems.
