About the role
We’re seeking an Accountant that will support the Accounting function at Chime! This position will work closely with the Accounting team with the goal of ensuring financial accuracy and timely reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to develop skills and competencies that will serve as the basis for a career in Accounting & Finance.
The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $68,490 and up to $93,200. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
In this role, you can expect to
- Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis at month-end close
- Support the cash function, including recording cash transactions for all operational accounts, marketable securities and interest receivable
- Support the accounts receivable function, including confirming, preparing and distributing invoices accurately and efficiently, as well as prompt collections
- Improve existing processes, controls, and documentation, suggest and implement improvements to scale and automate manual procedures
- Collaborate with key-cross-functional partners including finance, data analytics, risk, and others on a variety of projects
- Support the accounting team on ad-hoc accounting projects and analyses
To thrive in this role, you have
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience.
- CPA candidate preferred, with knowledge of accounting concepts
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results.
- Team player with a positive attitude that embraces change and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, proactive and not afraid to ask questions
- Moderate Microsoft Excel skills (i.e. Pivot tables and/or VLOOKUP)
