About The Role

JustAnswer is looking for a public company Chief Financial Officer to drive financial and strategic leadership at our rapidly growing business. You are a passionate, entrepreneurial and financially-disciplined leader and mentor for our global organization. 

Responsibilities 

  • Managing a broad set of functions, including finance, accounting, legal, payments and IR.
  • Partner with leadership on financing strategy, board communications, company culture and investor relations, utilizing your existing relationships and building new ones across the finance community. 
  • Direct the company's strategic planning initiatives and help build out strong FP&A practices. Partner with all members of the senior executive team and other company leadership on business strategy. 
  • Establish efficient and effective processes for ensuring sound financial decision making throughout the organization, enabling the organization to react quickly to opportunities and challenges while meeting annual top and bottom line expectations. 
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of budgeting, accounting, forecasting, financial reporting and cash-flow analysis. 
  • Continuously improve reporting and analysis capabilities to support decision-making, improve organizational performance, and drive business growth. 
  • Assist partners throughout the organization with vendor and third party contract negotiations to ensure financial efficiency and strategic alignment. 
  • Manage and ensure seamless audits. 
  • Navigate complex corporate tax structures and make recommendations for improvements with an eye on long-term benefits. 
  • Manage cash flow and forecasting, banking relationships and cash positions/strategies. 

Requirements 

  • 10+ years of management experience in finance and administration, preferably within a high-growth, global, B2C ecommerce and/or subscription environment. 
  • 5+ years of CFO experience 
  • Public company experience as a CFO
  • IPO experience a plus; led financings and “road shows” as CFO. 
  • A minimum of a BS; MBA preferred. 
  • Prior experience leading fundraising diligence efforts, ideally at a growth stage company. 
  • Strong financial analytics skills. 
  • Prior Mergers and Acquisitions experience. 
  • Intellectual agility and demonstrated ability to think strategically is essential. 
  • Ability and desire to flex from big picture strategic thinking to rolling up the sleeves and getting things done. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing organization. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the inherent ability to lead, coach and mentor.
