Job Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, Service and Maintenance of Commercial and MDU video and HSD system
  • Conducting and documentation of pre-installation site surveys 
  • Creation of Bill of Material and Statements of work based on findings of site surveys
  • Communicate status and issues clearly across various organizational levels, 
  • Maintain inventory records, resolve service issues within SLAs, and ensure compliance with installation standards
  • Creating, fostering and maintaining strategic business relationships with both internal and external partners within the designated region
  • Be part of a high performance work team to deliver an advanced level of quality and service in all daily activities

 


Skills, Experience and Requirements

The commercial technician role is very hands-on. It requires a technician who leads by example and is proactive as well as strategic. The success of a commercial technician is based on their performance, so it is essential that you have the confidence and ability to effectively coach, train, and develop team members. We are looking for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced changing environment and is eager to grow and develop with our company.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Experience with Satellite, Video or Fiber optic distribution systems
  • A valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment with a driving record that meets DISH's safety standard

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • Aptitude to build rapport quickly; we want you to have a great time servicing our clients
  • Ability to stand on a high ladder (up to 40 feet) for long periods of time, lift over 70 lbs at a time and remain within the individual weight limit requirements of 335 lbs
  • Ability to crawl into small spaces and work in varying climates/weather conditions
  • Travel may be required
  • Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team
  • Ability to read technical drawings and perform physically demanding tasks

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $35.51/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
